The Cottage At Four Corners sells home furnishings and accessories as well as quality gift items. We carry work by local artists as well as specially imported products. We have created this website to show you a little about our store. The products we carry are always changing, but you can see some of our staples on our products page. We carry a fine range of furniture from Mitchell Gold along with a constantly changing selection of antiques to suit your desires.

If you're looking for something different, we have a line of furniture designed and built for us by Jim Stubblefield. Using recycled wood, he makes furniture which combines the beauty of an antique with the solidity of the new. If you have a specific idea we can have pieces custom made to suit your needs.

Our goal is to help you make your house beautiful. To that end we carry all kinds of household accessories and necessities. We carry a full line of Simon Pearce glassware, along with handpainted plates and bowls made by local and foreign artists. From room fresheners to chandeliers, pillows to cookbooks, we have what you need to make your house a little more comfortable.

The Cottage has received lots of attention since its inception almost eight years ago. We've won Rhode Island Monthly's Best Of Rhode Island for the last four consecutive years, and been featured in the Providence Journal and the Boston Globe. Most recently The Cottage made it into the June 2004 Architectural Digest and the August 2004 Boston Magazine.

The Cottage was founded by Nancy Hemenway. Before creating The Cottage, Nancy worked for Design Research in Boston. There is currently a Design Research Retrospective going on in the original D/R building in Harvard Square.

If you have any questions about our website, our products, hours or location, please feel free to contact us. We would be happy to answer any questions that we can.
